Quinte West City Council approved an amendment to the Fees and Charges By-law adding three additional cemetery fees.
The fees were not in the previous version of the by-law but were on the fees list and are increases.
The three increases are as follows:
- Cemetery Cremation Plot $600 including HST
- Cemetery Plot (child) $675 including HST
- Cemetery Plot (infant) $550 including HST
A percentage of the fees goes to a Perpetual Care Fund.
The City of Quinte West is the caretaker for more than twenty city-run cemeteries, which includes pioneer cemeteries.
