Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward’s (HSHPE) Governance Committee of the Board of Directors, with the assistance of Mark Stones at HUMANSIDE, is actively seeking to secure the next Executive Director who will lead the Humane Society to fulfill its mandate, vision and more.
“The search is on, and the Board of Directors is determined to find the right individual who will embrace the challenges that come with positive growth and derive immense satisfaction supporting animals in need.” stated, Greg Sudds, Chair HSHPE Boad of Directors. “Someone whose experiences and accomplishments with a similar organization or charity will provide executive leadership to further HSHPE’s best animal care practices and community engagement.”
With the support of a dedicated team of 24 professionals and 400 volunteers, the Executive Director will have overall responsibility for both the organization’s financial performance and cultivate strong collaborative relationships with various stakeholders including the Board of Directors, volunteers, donors, government officials, community partners and various animal agencies and organizations.
“In my short time here, I have witnessed animals arriving at the shelter in very poor condition. Nothing is more gratifying than to see the same animal healthy and ready to be adopted by a loving family, thanks to the devoted care of our hardworking Animal Care Attendants.” stated, Chris Barry, Interim Executive Director. “I have great respect and admiration for everyone here at the shelter and for all those who lend their support both as donors and volunteers. This position requires tremendous compassion and progressive leadership.”
