If the federal election were held today, the Liberals would likely win according to 338Canada though this region would appear to remain blue.
338Canada is a statistical model of electoral projections based on opinion polls, electoral history, and demographic data.
In its latest update on Monday, the website has the Liberals leading in 187 ridings compared to 139 for the Conservative party, 21 for the Bloc Quebecois, five for the NDP and one for the Green Party.
A party needs to win 172 seats for a majority government.
Locally, Bay of Quinte riding is still “leaning Conservative,” however, 338Canada had previously considered it “likely Conservative.”
Both Hastings-Lennox & Addington-Tyendinaga and Northumberland-Clarke are still considered “likely Conservative.”
