The Toronto Marlies edged the Belleville Senators 2-1 in a shootout.
Xavier Bourgault scored for the Senators.
The Senators opened scoring in the first period, with the Marlies evening the score in the second. After a scoreless third period, the teams went into overtime, where neither team was able to gain an edge. Eventually, the teams went to a shootout, where the Marlies grabbed a goal first to win the game.
The Senators are back in action on Wednesday, when they host the Syracuse Crunch at CAA Arena.
