There will be a couple of tired teams on the ice tonight (Fri) at the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens for Game 5 of the OJHL Eastern semi-final.
However, the Trenton Golden Hawks might have a little extra jump following Thursday night’s 5-4 double overtime victory over Stouffville that gives them a 3-1 lead on the Spirit in the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Eastern Conference semi-final.
Jamie Darlison scored the winner at 19:57 of the fifth period. Spencer Hughes added a goal and two assists.
Ryan Sanborn turned aside 57 shots.
Isaiah Shanzt (2nd), Trevor McDowell (1st), and Jonathon Pylypuik (1st) rounded out Trenton’s scoring.
Game 5 is tonight (Fri) at 7:30 in Trenton.
