On March 27, 2025, at 6 p.m., Belleville police responded to the north-east end of the city in regards to intimate partner violence. The investigation resulted in a 57-year-old Belleville man arrested and charged with assault and failing to comply with a probation order. The accused was held in custody and will appear for a show cause hearing March 28, 2025
Threats / Warrants
On March 27, 2025 at 6:15 p.m., Belleville police were called to an east-end business regarding a male threatening staff. Upon arrival, officers located the male suspect a short distance away. The investigation revealed that the suspect was currently wanted on outstanding warrants by Belleville police, currently before the court. As a result, the 33-year-old male from Belleville was arrested on the existing warrants and further charged with uttering threats and failing to comply with a probation order. The accused was held in custody and will appear for a show cause hearing March 28, 2025.
Intoxicated in Public
On March 27, 2025 at 10:30 p.m., Belleville police were called to a downtown establishment regarding a disturbance where two males were involved in an altercation. As a result of the investigation, a 55-year-old Belleville man was arrested for public intoxication and held in police custody and later released when he was sober.
