The Prom Project is hosting giveaway days this weekend at Quinte Mall.
The Prom Project is a partnership between the mall, The Children’s Foundation and The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation and removes barriers to allow elementary and secondary students to celebrate formals and graduations in style.
Students can select formal wear, including suits, separates, dresses, makeup, shoes, accessories and much more, free of charge.
Formal wear has been donated by the community.
The Prom Project runs from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and during regular mall hours Saturday and Sunday.
Dresses are located beside Best Buy across from the food court while suits, ties, and jackets can be found beside Paris Nails.
Local high schools are also hosting giveaway days in the coming weeks.
Trenton High School – Tuesday, April 1 from 3-7 p.m.
PECI – Wednesday April 2 from 3-7 p.m.
North Hastings High School – Thursday, April 10 from 3-7 p.m.
