A 25-year-old driver is facing a stunt driving charge after a traffic stop in Peterborough Wednesday evening.
At approximately 8:50 p.m. on March 26, 2025, an officer from the Traffic Unit was on general patrol in the area of Water Street and Marina Boulevard.
A vehicle was spotted travelling at a high rate of speed and was recorded going 109 in a 50km/h zone.
As a result, the driver was charge with:
- Stunt in excess of 40km/h
- Speeding 109km/h in a 50km/h
The driver was issued a 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.
