Northumberland OPP have charged a Quebec man following a report of drone activity around Warkworth Institution.
It’s believed the device was used to deliver a package at the facility.
Officers responded to the area around 3 a.m. on Thursday and observed a passenger vehicle at Murray Marsh.
As a result of the investigation, police seized a drone, batteries, cannabis paraphernalia, a digital transmitter and a cell phone.
Nineteen-year-old Brian Ly of Montreal was arrested and charged with:
– Mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.
– Have care or control of vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
