A local golf facility has earned a major national award.
NINE Golf, formerly known as the Bayview Golfing Centre on Old Highway 2 has won the Grassroots Junior Program of the Year award from Golf Canada.
The executive golf professional at NINE Golf, Brandon McLean, says the award goes to a facility or academy program that excels at creating new junior golfers through local programming.
McLean says they are excited to call themselves national award winners.
The presentation will be made at the Canadian Open in Toronto in June.
