Belleville city councillor Chris Malette has been named the Bay of Quinte Liberal candidate for the federal election.
Malette has been a Belleville city councillor since 2018 and worked decades at the Belleville Intelligencer as the editor, among other positions.
On Tuesday we told you that several sources indicated he was the front runner, however, it is not the local riding association that has the final say, but the central party.
