As it continues to establish itself following the merger, the South East Health Unit has set how its board meetings will be conducted for the year.
At its meeting at the Belleville building on Wednesday, the Board of Health was presented with three options on how to have meetings conducted for the rest of the year.
Option one would see monthly meetings in a virtual-only format while planning for quarterly in-person meetings. The start time would also move to 9:30 a.m.
The second option would see monthly in-person meetings with the meeting sites of Belleville, Kingston and Brockville being rotated and moving the start time to 9:30 a.m.
A third option would see monthly in-person meetings at a geographical central location, which would be the Kingston office of the South East Health Unit.
Both the second and third options would maintain a virtual component.
Following discussion, the board decided on a modified option 2 where the start time would be 10 a.m.
Suggestions were made about ensuring quorum for meetings as well as providing advance notice if a meeting might be cancelled.
The meeting schedule will then be looked at after one year for review.
