Gleaners Food Bank Quinte has named its new executive director.
Peter Kerr will replace Susanne Quinlan who retired late last year.
A lifelong resident of the Quinte region, Kerr’s career includes experiences at the Community Advocacy & Legal Centre, Eastminster United Church, META Employment Services, and the Canadian Mental Health Association Hastings Prince Edward.
In a statement, Gleaners’ board of directors says that as executive director, Kerr will lead Gleaners’ vital food distribution programs, Tri-County Warehouse operations, and green initiatives to ensure that individuals and families facing food insecurity in the Quinte region receive the support they need.
Kerr lives in Prince Edward County with his wife Laura and their two boys, Charlie and Simon.
He takes over the position April 7.
