Belleville City Council approved a quotation from Olameter Inc. to undertake meter reading services for the City of Belleville’s Water Division.
The decision was made at council’s meeting on Monday.
In a report to council, it says that the city has maintained a long-standing contract with Olameter Inc. to undertake scheduled readings of all residential and non-residential water meters.
The new contract will commence on April 15, 2025, for a one-year term, with the option to extend up to two additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement of both parties.
The quotation is in the amount of $170,921.52, plus $22,219.80 HST for a total amount of $193,141.32.
As part of the decision, the 2025 Operating Budget will be amended to increase by $11,000, to be funded by the Water Service Reserve Fund.
