The Liberal party has yet to announce an election candidate in the Bay of Quinte riding but the local Federal Liberal Association says a candidate is expected to be announced in the next 24 to 48 hours.
In the press release issued Monday afternoon, Bay of Quinte Federal Liberal Association chair Ken Manderville says they’ve had a lot of interest, and nominees are currently being vetted by party officials.
Manderville confirmed that four applications have been submitted to the Liberal Party of Canada from Bay of Quinte residents in the last several weeks.
Those nominees are currently being vetted by party officials.
“The team is ready to go and we can’t wait to get this campaign started,” Manderville commented. He reports that the campaign is receiving dozens of calls and emails a day from people offering their support.
