A Prince Edward County woman has received a conditional sentence of two years less a day, plus three years probation on one count of fraud over $5000.
Justice John Bonn made his sentencing decision on March 12.
Under a community service order, Carol Ryan is ordered to stay in Ontario unless she receives permission from her supervisor.
The first 18 months will be on house arrest except for medical emergencies, counselling, community service hours, work or with prior permission from supervisor.
A probation order includes 50% of wages to be paid to CUPE and not to occupy a position of trust.
The standalone restitution order is for over $151,000.
Ryan was arrested in July 2023 after Prince Edward County OPP received a report of fraud over $100,000 with conduct spanning several years.
She pleaded guilty to one count of fraud over $5000 in December 2024.
