The Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte are cautioning people in the community that the local drug supply may be tainted.
In a Thursday morning post on X, they warn of people having unexpected reactions when using substances in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
The cause of the reactions is not currently known but officials say they have issued the alert to keep people safe.
The reactions have involved drugs like crack and cocaine but do not involve cannabis.
Those who use are being advised to not partake alone, and carry Naloxone.
