The Trenton Golden Hawks have advanced to the second round of the OJHL playoffs.
Taeo Artichuk scored two goals and two assists as Trenton clipped the Pickering Panthers 4-1 to win their Conference quarter final in five games.
Corbin Roach added three assists.
The Panthers did not go down easily outshooting Trenton 33-26. G-Hawks goaltender Ryan Sanborn stopped 32 shots.
Next up for the G-Hawks, the Stouffville Spirit who dispatched Wellington in four straigh.
Napanee 5 Amherstview 2
In the Junior C playoffs the Napanee Raiders did it the hard way but they got through to round three of the East Tod Division playoffs.
Ben White scored twice and Erik MacNeil added a goal and assist as the Raiders clipped Amherstview 5-2 to clinch their series in six games.
Napanee lost the first two games before roaring back to win four in a row.
The Raiders await the winner of the Frankford-Lakefield series which is headed to Game 7 Tuesday night.
The Chiefs edged the Huskies 3-2 to take it to a deciding game in Frankford Tuesday at 7 p.m.
