Quinte West OPP say a driver has suffered serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash in the east end.
Police say they received a report of a vehicle that left Hamilton Road, between Aikins Road and Jeffrey Drive, and collided with a hydro pole.
Officers with Quinte West OPP, Quinte West Fire Department and Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service responded to the scene.
Hydro One has been notified due to damage to the hydro pole.
A 44-year-old from Quinte West was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
OPP have closed Hamilton Road between Aikins and Whites roads.
It remains closed at this time for the on-scene investigation by Quinte West officers, with assistance by an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigation Team members.
