Breach of Probation
On March 12, 2025 at 5:15 p.m., Belleville police attended a residence in the city’s west end regarding the removal of unwanted persons staying in the caller’s residence. During the investigation, officers learned that the male party in question was currently on probation conditions to not communicate with a female who was also inside the residence. The probation condition was in place stemming from a previous intimate partner violence incident. As a result, a 40-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

A short time later at 5:30 p.m., officers received a second call regarding the same female, now unwanted at another business in the downtown core.
