A Project Renewal drug investigation resulted in search warrants being executed in Belleville and Tweed and the seizure of drugs, cash and weapons.
On Thursday, officers with Project Renewal, the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Unit and K9 Unit conducted a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a pair of residences and storage unit in Belleville’s east end along with a trailer in Trudeau Park Tweed.
Investigators seized:
• $11,755 in Canadian currency
• $10 American
• 34.7 grams of cocaine
• 2.8 grams of crystal meth
• 125.5 grams of Psilocybin
• 65 unknown pills
• A 20-gauge Mossberg shotgun
• A 9mm Glock handgun
• Ammunition
• Baton
• Butterfly knife
• Cell phones
Four people were arrested.
Josh Trotter, age 34, of Belleville was charged with:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
3. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
4. Proceeds of crime over $5000
5. Careless Storage of a Firearm
6. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
7. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
8. Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
9. Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
Barbara Wannamaker, age 37, of Trenton was charged with:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
2. Proceeds of crime over $5000
3. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
Kashys Davidson, age 22, of Belleville and Jody Davidson, age 48 of Tweed were charged with:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
3. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
4. Proceeds of crime under $5000
5. Careless Storage of a Firearm
6. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
7. Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

Trotter was held for a show cause hearing while the other three accused were released with a court date of March 24.
