In Northumberland-Peterborough South, David Piccini celebrated a PC victory.
He spoke about the success of not only winning the riding, but forming another majority government.
Piccini says it was all hands on deck.

He added that he believes the PC message got out.
“Our message resonated on rural streets, in manufacturing shops across Northumberland, who want a leader who’s going to stand up to Trump.”
Bruce Lepage was the NDP candidate and says he was proud of his team for running a strong campaign on short notice.

“Mister Ford knew this was coming, he planned a campaign at the worst possible time of year for turnout and for our constituents. So it was a bit disenfranchising I think for a lot of people to have to deal with this weather.”
Green Party candidate Maxwell Groves said that he is still hopeful for a green wave in the future.

“Well, it’s not the results we were hoping for. However, we started this campaign basically with our hands tied behind our back. I’m just so proud of my team and the hard work we all did and it was a great experience.”
We were unable to get a response from Liberal candidate Dorothy Noronha.
52.9 per cent of eligible voters cast their ballots in Northumberland-Peterborough South.
