There’s a new Honorary Colonel at 8 Wing Trenton.
An investiture ceremony was held on Wednesday at the base, where 437 Transport “Husky” Squadron welcomed their new Honorary Colonel Dr. Tarek Sardana.
At the same time, the previous Honorary Colonel, Bruce Bowser, stepped down from the role. He was Honorary Colonel since 2017.
HCol Sardana grew up in Ottawa and graduated with a degree in medicine from the University of Ottawa in 1991. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1988 to 2013 and is both the chief medical officer of HCP Diagnostics and president of the Canadian Society of Aerospace Medicine.
