Quinte Conservation got a hand from the Belleville Fire Department recently.
The McLeod Dam is a hydroelectric power-generating site on the Moira River.
Due to recent frigid temperatures, a heavy amount of ice formed at the dam.
Platoon Chief Jeff Keays says they used an aerial ladder truck to assist with ice-breaking operations.

“Quinte Conservation runs the McLeod Dam. Basically what they’re doing right now is taking ice accumulation off of the dam, so they can operate it properly.
More than 1,000 gallons of water a minute streams through the hose.
It broke up the ice jam and the dam is once again operational.
