The annual Savour the Chill soup tasting event took over downtown Belleville on Saturday, with the event drawing in one of the candidates for Ontario’s next premier.
Ontario NDP leader Marit Stiles joined local MPP candidate Amanda Robertson, as the pair sampled a variety of soups in Belleville’s downtown.
Robertson said the NDP’s campaign had seen a surge of support in the community, and that it was good to meet with more of the area’s residents.
The soup tasting took part throughout downtown Belleville between noon and 3pm.
