It has been up for sale since spring of 2023, but there is now a sold sign on the west side of the building at the corner of Division and Dundas Street West.

The building will turn 100 years old this year (built in 1925).
According to the website Cinema Treasures, it opened in 1935 as the Trent Theatre.
In 1953, it became the Odeon, when it was acquired by the chain.
It then turned into the Centre Theatre in 1962.
The property was originally listed for just under $600,000 (2023), but the price was lowered to $550,000 this past fall.
We contacted Cooke Properties owner Matthew Cooke who was the realtor for the building.
He says there were several offers on the site, but the accepted offer will close the first week of March.
A source to Quinte News indicates that the new owners are from outside the Quinte region.
There is no indication at this time what is going to be done with the property, but one source says it will not be made residential.
Cooke says he could not confirm the intentions of the new owners at this time.
