The first place Trenton Golden Hawks beat the second place Toronto Jr. Canadiens 3-1 last night at the Duncan MacDonald Community Centre.
Taeo Artichuk had two goals and one assist while David Fournier scored one and assisted on another for the G-Hawks.
The game was fast and clean with the referee only handing out five minor penalties.
Just over 800 fans were in attendance.
Trenton plays next Monday night in Cobourg at 7 o’clock.
Meanwhile, the Wellington Dukes are in action Sunday afternoon, playing host to the Lindsay Muskies at 2:30 at the Lehigh Arena.
In Jr. C action Friday, the Napanee Raiders shut out the Picton Pirates 4-0 while the Frankford Huskies blanked Trent Hills 6-0.
Saturday Napanee visits Port Hope at 7:30 while Amherstview is at North Kawartha, also at 7:30.
In the Eastern Ontario Super League, the Deseronto Bulldogs visit the Madawaska Valley Wolves at 7 o’clock.
