A longtime charitable retail shop is set to reopen soon.
Tuesday, Quinte Health’s board of directors learned that the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary would be reopening its gift shop soon with a grand opening planned for early March.
The new 300 square foot gift shop will be located just inside the main entrance to the Sills Wing. The shop has not been operating for the past four years.
In honour of the auxiliary’s efforts for the hospital, Quinte Health’s board presented the group with its Values in Action Award.
Auxiliary President Heather Smith thanked Quinte Health and its staff for all their help in getting the shop ready to go in its new location.
She especially appreciated the great location the organization was given at the hospital.
Smith added that the auxiliary’s many volunteers always got more out of their work than they gave, believing their time volunteering was time well spent.
