Charges have been laid following a crash late Saturday night in Quinte West.
Around 11:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the site of a collision.
The investigation revealed that a vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign was struck in the rear, with the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene.
A witness says the driver and passenger attempted to switch positions in the vehicle.
Twenty-nine-year-old Jordan Lewis from Prince Edward County has been charged with
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Failure to stop after accident
- Operation While Prohibited
Lewis’s vehicle was impounded for 45 days, with the licence suspended for 90.
