Prince Edward County is preparing to make a land trade, to correct a hundred-year-old oversight.
At Prince Edward County’s upcoming council meeting on Tuesday, councillors will discuss a plan to trade part of the nearby Queen Elizabeth Park in order to secure ownership of a section of Fairfield Street that the municipality doesn’t currently own.
Currently, part of the road is listed as a right of way, but exists on private property.
The proposed land trade would secure ownership of the road, and the land under the road, for the municipality.
