A special weather statement has been put in place for Belleville, Quinte West, and Northumberland County.
Environment Canada is warning residents of strong winds expected to develop on Monday afternoon.
Wind speeds are predicted to reach between 80 and 90 kilometres per hour, with dangerous winds continuing through the afternoon and into the night.
Environment Canada says winds that strong can carry dangerous debris, break tree branches, or cause power outages.
