Lorraine O’Quinn has some major expectations for her annual fundraiser for the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
On Saturday night, the fourth annual O’Quinn Team Kitchen Party takes place at the National Air Force Museum of Canada.
O’Quinn tells Quinte News that it is not a gala style, it is easier going.
“It’s all just me having a passion. I’m from Newfoundland and I thought there was a real need to do something really down to earth and casual and connect and have fun and raise money and a lot of purpose in community.”
She says we have to come together as a community to support TMHF.
“I’ve got some major players that have been just so supportive and generous in the community, because it’s really important over the next three years, we have to raise eight million dollars for the hospital.”
There is about $280,000 in sponsorship that has already come in.
She says if this is someone coming for the first time, they are in for east coast hospitality.
“Kick back, it’s bringing out our childlike self. We’re hanging out in our jeans and our plaid. We have games, we have a photo booth and we have The Lonely Hearts. I want people to get out there and say hi to someone they’ve never met before. The energy of that room is going to be huge.”
They will also have Kiss the Puffin and an online auction. CLICK HERE for a link to the auction
