Belleville police responded to 62 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on January 22, 2025 to 5 a.m. on January 23, 2025.
Breach of Probation
On January 22, 2025 at 1:50 p.m., Belleville police received a report that a male who had been released from custody earlier in the day was currently breaching his conditions. Officers commenced an investigation and determined that a 30-year-old Belleville man had breached two conditions of his probation order. Police located the male in the early morning hours on January 23 and arrested him without incident. He was charged with two counts of failing to comply with his probation order and held in custody for a bail hearing.
Stolen vehicle recovered
OnJanuary 22, 2025 at 9:10 p.m., officers were called to a downtown business regarding a vehicle which had been stolen within the previous two hours. Police were able to locate the vehicle using its onboard vehicle tracking system. The vehicle was located in the area of Hwy 2 and Point Anne Rd. The vehicle was a 2024 Genesis and was unoccupied when recovered. Police are continuing the investigation.
