Bancroft OPP have charged one person following a complaint about an individual breaching release conditions.
On January 17, shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a location on Musclow Greenview Road in Hastings Highlands. A male, believed to be armed with firearms, fled into the woods when officers arrived. The OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit responded to the scene.
Bancroft OPP officers located the individual and three firearms were located.
Cole Plunkett, age 24 of Hastings Highlands, has been charged with:
- Failure to comply with a release order – three counts
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm – three counts
- Breach of firearm regulation – store firearm or restricted weapon – three counts
The accused was remanded in custody following a bail hearing on January 18.
