With nine days remaining, United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is calling on the community to help close the remaining gap of approximately $70,000 on its $2.25 million goal.
Earlier this month, United Way HPE announced a $100,000 funding shortfall of its goal, but thanks to local donors, 30% of that gap has already been closed.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received so far,” said Taylor Russett, 2024 United Way HPE Campaign Chair in a release.
“This shows the strength and compassion of our community. While we’ve made great progress, we still need one last push to ensure we can raise as much as possible and continue to support the critical programs that so many people rely on.”
The final number is expected to be announced in February, with United Way saying this will also include updates on the impact these funds will have on the community.
Those looking to donate can head to the United Way Hastings & Prince Edward’s website.
