An abandoned vehicle investigation has led to charges by Northumberland OPP.
Last Friday morning around 10 a.m., officers were told about a vehicle left on 9th Line West, north of Campbellford.
The white van in the ditch was registered to a person prohibited to be driving outside the Village of Hastings.
While on the way to speak with the vehicle’s owner, officers stopped a grey vehicle, which happened to be the same suspect of the van.
Sixty-three-year-old Kenneth Mackay from Hastings was charged with two counts of prohibited operation.
Both vehicles were impounded for 45 days.
