A 32-year-old Cobourg man was charged after police were called to a disturbance.
On Monday, January 20, 2025 at approximately 10 p.m., police were called to the area of Depalma Drive and Strathy Road for a report of an individual refusing to leave a property and causing a disturbance.
Police arrived on scene and directed the male to leave the property.
He refused to leave.
Upon being arrested, under the Trespass to Property Act, the male became assaultive and kicked an officer causing minor injury.
As a result, the 32-year-old Cobourg man was charged with fail to leave premises when directed, assault peace officer, possession of a Schedule I Substance, and fail to comply with probation.
The accused was held in custody pending a show cause hearing
