Cobourg Police Service Board (CPSB) has its new chair and vice-chair.
At Tuesday’s meeting, board members elected Councillor Adam Bureau as chair and Sean Graham as vice-chair.
They will work closely with Chief Paul VandeGraaf and the police service executive team to achieve strategic objectives and priorities for Cobourg Police Service.
“I am honoured to be elected as chair of the Cobourg Police Service Board. Despite the challenges, we experienced momentum in many areas last year, and I look forward to the work ahead. Collaboration, operational excellence, and public trust will continue to guide our decisions to ensure we achieve our strategic goals in 2025,” stated Adam Bureau, chair of the Cobourg Police Service Board
Bureau, a dedicated business owner with 17 years of experience is currently serving his second term on town council, exhibiting a strong commitment to enhancing the community. Bureau has served as a member of the Cobourg Police Service Board, served as the vice-chair in 2024 and will serve as chair for 2025.
“Community safety, trust, transparency and collaboration are paramount as the board works with Chief VandeGraaf to ensure the police service remains responsive, effective and accountable to all members of our community. It’s truly an honour to be elected vice-chair. I’m passionate about making Cobourg a better place for everyone,” stated Sean Graham, vice-chair of the Cobourg Police Service Board
Graham is a local business owner and has been active in assisting local charities and supporting initiatives focused on positive outcomes.
Graham has been an appointed member of the police board since 2019.
