The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for certain brands of eggs over potential salmonella contamination.
Eggs in Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba and other possible provinces have been recalled, and the agency says not to eat, serve or distribute any of the recalled products.
Recalled products include Compliments, no name, Golden Valley Eggs and Western Family eggs with expiry dates on February 16, February 22 and March 1.
Salmonella can cause fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea, and can pose greater threats to young children, elderly people and pregnant women.
