The City of Belleville has received another $809,999 for hosting Shorelines Casino Belleville.
The money represents the third quarter payment (October 1 – December 31) from Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
So far, during OLG’s fiscal year, Belleville has received $2,492,473.
Since the gaming site opened in January 2017, Belleville has received $21,563,557.
Payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site.
“OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement payments help pave the way for Belleville to build critical infrastructure and fund important programs that make a real difference for residents,” said Tyler Allsopp, Member of Provincial Parliament for Bay of Quinte. “Shorelines Casino Belleville supports numerous jobs and generates a great deal of economic activity that, in turn, improves the well-being of our local community.”
