Belleville police are investigating an attempted break and enter at a home on Parkdale Drive near Sidney Street.
Police responded to the home just after 2 a.m. Thursday regarding an attempted break and enter to a garage.
When they arrived, police learned that an alarm deterred the break and enter and alerted homeowners.
Several footprints were located in neighbouring yards.
Residents in the area of Parkdale Drive, Poplar Street, Glendale Road and Lemoine Street are asked to review any security video between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Thursday for any persons on foot in the area.
