A charge has been laid after an inmate at Warkworth Institution allegedly threatened a number of correctional officers.
It relates to an August 10 incident at the medium security facility.
The incident was reported to Northumberland OPP in September.
The police investigation resulted in a warrant being issued on Tuesday.
A 37-year-old male from Brighton has been charged with:
– uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.
The accused was held to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
