Belleville native Corbin Roach scored two goals in 24 seconds midway in the first period which set the table for the Trenton Golden Hawks’ 9-2 rout of the Rangers in North York.
Roach raised his season total to 14 goals.
David Fournier added a pair to bring his team-leading total to 35 along with two assists.
Taeo Artichuk also scored two goals (20) with two assists.
Matthew Souliere (20th), Candon O’Neill (6th) and Jaxon Broda (1st) rounded out the scoring for Trenton.
Ryan Sanborn stopped 23 shots.
The Golden Hawks hold a seven-point lead on the second place Toronto Junior Canadiens in the OJHL Eastern Conference.
They play in Markham Friday night.
