The director of Community and Human Services for Hastings County says affordable housing projects in Deloro and Bancroft are moving forward.
In her report, Jamie Lynne Osmond says the project in Deloro has the footing formwork complete, along with the pouring of footings.
The foundation work is in progress as of the timing of Osmond’s report.
No concerns have been identified as the project moves forward.
Osmond says Housing Services staff will meet with the proponents bi-weekly for progress updates in 2025.
As for the project in Bancroft, Osmond says the occupancy permit was approved for 36 Chemaushgon Road.
Discussions with North Hastings Integration Association are taking place to move tenants in as quickly as possible and it is expected that tenants will move in throughout the month of February.
This will bring seven new affordable units within the Town of Bancroft.
