The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual found in breach of court conditions.
On January 12 at around 12:40 p.m., OPP received a report regarding a person believed to breaching conditions of a court release order at an address in Bewdley.
A person matching the description provided to police was located nearby and they were placed under arrest. Following a search, a small quantity of drugs was also discovered.
As a result, Richard MITCHELL (age 41) from Toronto, has been charged with:
– Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
– Possession of a Schedule I substance – opioid.
The individual was held for bail before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
