A Stirling man faces impaired driving charges after allegedly leaving the scene of a collision in Trent Hills on the weekend.
Around 7:30 Sunday evening, Northumberland OPP received a report of a single vehicle collision on 5th Line East.
Officers arrived to find an unoccupied and heavily damaged passenger vehicle.
Police initiated an impaired operation investigation and located the driver at a nearby residential address.
No injuries were reported and no other persons were involved.
Twenty-year-old Joseph Oliver is charged with:
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
– Fail to remain
In addition to a future court date, the accused has received an automatic 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.
