Belleville City Council will have its first meeting of 2025 Monday afternoon.
On the agenda is work on the communications infrastructure for the Sidney Street Water Treatment Plant.
A recommendation is being put forward to install a durable and high-quality fibre optic line, funded though water capital reserves.
Staff indicate over the last three years, the communications network was for down for 12 weeks causing a communication shutdown between the main plant and outside pumping stations.
The cost is $250,000 which includes design and construction costs.
