It was a busy year for Operation Red Nose.
Red Nose Quinte coordinator Rick Watt joined Sean and Miriam on Mix 97 earlier this week.
“We have a lot of great clients and volunteers, lots of food. We did 454 rides this year, we took 898 clients home, 15,770 kilometres.”
He says they cannot do it without a huge amount of support.
“We always have great sponsors that look after us and the food sponsors they are great. Just an all out effort.”
“I’d just like to thank all the volunteers and all the sponsors that look after us and come out each night and people that give us a call and keep us busy.”
Red Nose Quinte co-chairs for this campaign were former Belleville Police Chief Mike Callaghan and realtor Patricia Guernsey.
Funds raised support the YMCA Central East Ontario Strong Kids Campaign.
