The Community Development Council of Quinte has announced it has named Lea Vares Greenwood as its new executive director.
CDC-Quinte touted Greenwood’s “passion for community development and her commitment to social justice” as reasons for her to lead the organization.
“For over 35 years, CDC-Quinte has affected many families,” said Greenwood in a release.
“The challenges of food insecurity are overwhelming, but I believe that, together, we can create a community where no one goes without nutritious food. I am honoured to lead this organization and work alongside those who are committed to making a difference.”
The announcement comes as the organization marks 35 years of service to the community.
