Quinte West residents are invited to celebrate the new year with Mayor Harrison and members of council at the city’s annual free Skate and Social event, Saturday, January 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Arena.
“On behalf of Quinte West Council, my fellow councillors and I look forward to meeting and talking to local residents at this year’s annual Skate and Social event,” said Mayor Jim Harrison. “We’re proud to offer this free, casual opportunity for residents to get out, spend time with family and friends, and connect and share ideas with their local leaders at the start of the year.”
Strap on your skates and take to the ice, or join council and city staff for complimentary refreshments and family-friendly activities in the arena lobby. Skate rentals are not provided. Participants are encouraged to wear CSA-approved safety equipment (including head, eye and facial protection) while on the ice.
